Abstract
The present project’s purpose is to evaluate the “SEAM in Business” methodology in the frame of the MoT 2005’s diploma work in collaboration with the Pr. Alain Wegmann (EPFL) who developed this methodology and Jordi Montserrat (Venturelab).
The first aim is to evaluate the methodology’s effectiveness as a management tool and the anticipated impacts on business’ world. A secondary objective is to determine more precisely those impacts in a training configuration and in a consultancy-type configuration.
A survey collecting the opinion of 23 business leaders and consultants as well as 4 companies has been conducted through several specific workshops.
....
Based on the statistical analysis, this survey has been demonstrating clearly an enhancement of the participant’s perception in regards of their business environment, but it was not necessarily reflected in their perception of their business plan/pitch’s improvement.
...
This study confirmed the ability of the “SEAM in Business” methodology to be applied equally for both training configuration and consultancy-type configuration. This methodology can be considered as an efficient tool supporting the decision-making process. Concrete action plan and specific business decisions, extracted during the workshops by both individuals and companies, are supporting this affirmation.
